M.D. Artur Pupka

I am a graduate of the Medical University of Wrocław, from which I graduated in 1989 with more than a good grade. After my medical internship, I worked in the Department of Vascular, General and Transplant Surgery at the Medical University of Wrocław from 1990 to 2018. In 1995, I received my MD degree, and in 2004 I was awarded a postdoctoral degree in medical sciences. I have been employed at the Department as an associate professor since 2007. In June 2012, I was awarded the title of Professor of Medicine. In August of the same year, I was appointed by the Rector of the Medical University of Wrocław to perform the duties of Head of the Department of Endovascular Surgery at the Department of Vascular, General and Transplant Surgery at the Medical University of Wrocław. In 2013, I won the competition for the position of Head of this Department, which I headed until 2018.

I am currently the National Team Physician of the Polish Triathlon Association and run a private medical practice in the field of vascular surgery (counselling, ultrasound diagnostics, endovascular procedures for venous insufficiency of the lower limbs, varicose veins of the vas deferens and labia).
